BROWN: Jack Gilbert – passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Sakura House, Woodstock on Tuesday November 22, 2016 Jack Brown of Norwich in his 85th year.
Loving father of Dawn & her husband Mike Zeldon of Woodstock, Wanda & her husband Greg Roloson of Bracebridge, Wendy Brown of London, Cynthia Brown & her husband Gilles Kenny of Cambridge, Jackie & her husband Kelly Cook of Woodstock, Sandra Brown of Norwich, Patricia Brown of Woodstock and Jim Brown of Fort St. John, B.C. He will be sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Survived by his sister Marjorie Shantz of Kitchener and sister-in-law Jean Brown of Plattsville.
Predeceased by his brothers Bill, Doug & his wife Stella and by his sister Phyllis & her husband Ken Koebel and brother-in-law Cameron Shantz.
Jack was a Korean War Veteran having been trained as a paratrooper and served as a Corporal from 1951-1953. Jack was an avid hunter and was always proud of raising Champion Hunting Dogs.
Relatives and friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St. N., Plattsville on Saturday November 26, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. Private family interment later in Chesterfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Fund or Sakura House (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.
SPEIRAN: Paul H. – It is with sadness that our family announces the passing of Paul Hamilton Speiran. We are grateful that his brief battle has ended.
Paul is survived by his wife, three daughters and six grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Windfall United Church Cemetery.

ROSE: David Cyril – passed away peacefully Wednesday November 2, 2016 at the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. David Rose of Plattsville in his 57th year.
Dave is survived by his wife Helen who he married June 16, 1979, by his sons Randy & wife Melissa of Paris and Tom and wife Amanda of Plattsville. Sadly missed by his granddaughter Haven. Dave is also survived by his brothers Mike and Dan and sister Joanne. Remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law Terrance & Sharon, Lawrence and Donna, Melinda, Daphne & Wayne and by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his grandson Caleb (2015)
Relatives and friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William Street, Plattsville on Saturday from 12:30pm until 2:15pm followed by the funeral service in the Chapel at 2:30pm.
