roseKRUEGER: Robert Joseph Herman – passed away on Sunday May 29, 2016 at the Brantford General Hospital, Robert Krueger formerly of Drumbo in his 97th year.

Beloved husband of the late Pearl Irene Krueger (nee: Miller) who predeceased him November 10, 2009.  Loving father of Jennifer Krueger & Dave Pedley of Scotland and Melanie & Earl Jaques of Cathcart.  Cherished grandpa of Sarah, Stacey & Cody, Stanley & Melissa, David & Christi and great grandpa of Destiny, Christain, Charlotte and Lilly.

Predeceased by his parents Herman & Sarah (nee:Chesney),  and his brother Al.

Robert was a long time employee of King Truck Engineering Limited.  He proudly served in WWII and was a member of the Brant Rod & Gun Club.  He will be sadly missed by his cat Precious.

Relatives and friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William Street, Plattsville on Wednesday June 1st, 2016 from 7-9p.m.   A Private Family Funeral Service will be held, with interment in Drumbo Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (cheques accepted) would by appreciated by the family.


SCOTT: Phyllis Mabel (nee McIntyre)

Phyllis ScottSCOTT: Phyllis Mabel (nee McIntyre) – passed away peacefully on Monday May 23, 2016 at her residence Nithview Home, New Hamburg , Phyllis Scott formerly of RR#1 Plattsville in her 92nd year.

Beloved wife of the late Gordon Scott who predeceased her on January 21, 2006. Loving  mother of Elizabeth & husband Paul McNamara of Windsor, Barbara & husband John Zehr of Haysville, Howard & wife Phyllis of Montreal,  Philip of RR#1 Plattsville and Patricia Scott of  Mississauga.  She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Cathy & Steve, Rob & Nancy, John & Brea, Greg & Becky, Leanne & John and by great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Josh, Abbyanne, Jameson, Sophie, Danica, Georgia and John.  Survived by her sister-in-law Eileen McIntyre of New Hamburg and brother-in-law Russell Scott & wife Grace of Kitchener.

Predeceased by her parents Elmer McIntyre and Beatrice Laschinger, sisters Marjorie Baird, Jane Waldie, Grace Barritt and by brothers Alex, Ralph & Bruce McIntyre.

Phyllis was born and raised in Haysville and attended New Hamburg Continuation School and the Stratford Normal School. She taught at one room schools in North Easthope and Washington.  After her marriage in 1948 she became a full time farm wife and mother.  Phyllis was an active member of the former Chesterfield United Church where she belonged to the Choir and the U.C. W., a life member of the Haysville W.I. and a former member of the Haysville Sunshine Club.

Relatives & friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William Street, Plattsville on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.  Funeral service will be conducted in the Peace United Church, Plattsville on Saturday May 28, 2016 at 2:00pm. Interment Chesterfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, Peace United Church or Nithview Home Congregation (cheques accepted) and would be appreciated by the family.
