roseJACKSON: Jeules Gordon – passed away peacefully on Friday May 22, 2015 at Sakura House, Woodstock,  Gord Jackson of Ratho in his 77th year.   Beloved husband of June (nee Platz) who he married June 18, 1960.  Dear father of Patricia & husband Michael Sullivan of Edmonton, Wanda & husband Tim Zilke of Tavistock and Peter & wife Rose of New Hamburg.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Julianne, Joshua, Kyle, Collin, Jordan, Amanda, Jason & wife Christa and by great-grandsons Tyler & Kalvin. Survived by his brothers Hubert & wife Joan of New Dundee, sisters Fern & husband Allen Rahm of Oshawa, Evelyn & husband Morris Schrader of Tavistock, Vera & husband John Presley of Bath and sisters-in-law Carleen of Plattsville and Florence of Northbrook.

Predeceased by his brothers John, Vern, Truman, and wife Ruth, Ernie, Earl & wife Mina, Miles & wife June, Lloyd, Delbert, sisters Edith Kruel, Janet & Louis Turcott, Olive & Tom Thompson

Gord retired from Lear Seating after 30 years of service and had owned and operated Jackson Red & White grocery store in Plattsville.

Relatives & friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William Street, Plattsville on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.  Funeral Service will be conducted in the Plattsville Missionary Church on Thursday May 28, 2015 at 2:00p.m.  Interment in Chesterfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VON Sakura House or the Plattsville Missionary Church (cheques accepted) and would be appreciated by the family.

SCHERMERHORN: John Roy

roseSCHERMERHORN: John Roy – passed away suddenly on Tuesday May 19, 2015 at the Woodstock Hospital.  John Schermerhorn of Woodstock and formerly of Drumbo in his 69th year.

Beloved husband of Joan (nee Swiech) whom he married December 18, 2009. Dear step dad to Jessie Luckhardt of Ingersoll and Jennifer Luckhardt of Woodstock and will be missed by their children Tye, Bradley & Michael.   He will be remembered by his brother Mike of Woodstock and Doug & wife Bev of Paris and by his many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his sisters Mary Harmer and Ruth LaFrance.

Relatives & friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 1:00 – 1:45 pm.  A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 2 pm.
