Magdalena EnztENTZ: Magdalena (nee Kleinsasser) – our loved one passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, into the presence of her Lord, on Saturday June 27, 2015.  Magdalena Entz of RR#2 Baden and formerly of RR#4 Bright in her 89th year.

Beloved and devoted wife of Joseph Entz with whom she shared 67 years of marriage. Loving mother of Esther Entz, , Joseph Entz, Elizabeth and husband Brian Plumtree all of RR#2 Baden, Jonathan Entz  & Christian Entz both of Kitchener, Martha and husband Uli Hack of Kincardine and Mark Entz and wife Carol of New Hamburg.  Loving and treasured Omi to her grandchildren Kari Entz; Charles, Alexander and Matthew Entz; Jeremy, Amanda & Victoria Plumtree; Roselinde, Michelle & Markus Hack; Makayla & Joey Entz; and great grandchildren Shelbie Entz, George Vierboom.  Magdalena was born in Magrath, Alberta to Joseph & Sarah Kleinsasser.  She is loved by many brothers and sisters, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and their extended families.  Her warm smiles and loving hugs will be missed by many dear friends.

Predeceased by her sons Peter and Lawrence, and by her grandson Phillip.

Relatives & friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William Street, Plattsville on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.  Funeral Service to Celebrate Magdalena’s life will be conducted in the Plattsville Missionary Church on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 1:00p.m.  Interment to follow in Shantz Mennonite Church Cemetery, RR#2 Baden.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Apostolic Christian Church or the Grand River Hospital (cheques accepted) and would be appreciated by the family.

A special thank you to the wonderful nurses and medical staff of Grand River, CCAC and Para Med, who kindly cared for our loved one.  You made her last weeks comfortable and left her family so grateful.

 

THROWER: Barbara Dianne (nee Pfohl)

barb throwerTHROWER: Barbara Dianne (nee Pfohl)– passed away peacefully on Friday June 12, 2015 at the St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener.  Barbara Thrower of New Hamburg and formerly of RR#1 New Dundee in her 60th year.

Wife of Alfred Thrower.  Loving mother of Dugan & wife Christina of New Hamburg, Terri Ann & husband Alex Forsythe of Peterborough and Derek & Samantha of New Dundee.  She will be sadly missed by her granddaughters Lilyane and Emma Lynn.  Cherished daughter of the late Clarence & Miriam (Coleman) Pfohl of New Hamburg.  Dear sister Helen & husband Tom Fisher of Dorsett, Marvyn & wife Paulette of New Hamburg, Keith & wife Hazel of Dalhousie, N.B., Wayne & wife Annette of New Dundee, Terry of Kitchener and Kim & husband Jan Groen of Wellesley.

Joel Travis Harmer January 28, 1950 – June 8, 2015

Joel HarmerHARMER: Joel Travis, son of Jay and Marjorie (Hall) Harmer, passed away suddenly at home in his 66th year.  Beloved husband to Carole (Robidoux) and best ever father to Tara, Trevor and Lucas.  Predeceased by his brother Dwight Jay Harmer, and survived by sisters Karen Gysbers and Gail Harmer Mutton.  Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.  A lifelong resident of Plattsville, Joel and team won the Ontario Junior Tankard competition in their day.  He worked many years at Toyota Cambridge, was an avid car racing fan, fisherman and a faithful New York Rangers supporter.  He will be missed but never forgotten.

Private family interment will take place in the Chesterfield Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Glendinning Funeral Home,  40 William St. Plattsville.  Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the charity of your choice, are greatly appreciated.
