ZWAAG: Hans – passed away peacefully on Saturday December 29, 2018 at Sakura House, Woodstock.  Hans was born 76 years ago in Holland and was a son of the late Dennis van-der Zwaag and the former Wyske Bakker.

Loving partner of Sharon (Baker) Ziegler.  Dear father of Robert Zwaag of Kitchener and Step-father of Joey Ziegler (Christina).  Hans will be dearly missed by his brother Albert van-der Zwaag of Kitchener and sisters Pat (Floyd) Gerber of Wellesley and Greta Zehr of Dryden.  Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sister Hillie van-der Zwaag, sister-in-law Helen van-der Zwaag and brother-in-law Glen Zehr.

Hans had worked for Hybrid Turkeys.  He also worked for Erb Transport retiring after 24 years.  He loved to travel. He was always happy – had a smile on his face and never asked for anything.

Cremation has taken place. As per Hans wishes there will be no service.  The family would like to thank Dr. Graczyk & Dr. Rangaswamy for all their care of Hans the last few years.  A special thanks to Sakura House for making the final journey a little easier.

In Hans memory, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, the Parkinson Foundation or the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

MEYER: Bonnie Germaine

Meyer: Bonnie Germaine – passed away peacefully on Sunday December 9, 2018 at the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Bonnie Meyer of Bright in her 76th year.

Loving mother of Jennifer (David) Gillingham of Goulais River, Michael of Kitchener, James (Tammi) of Paris and David (Kayleen) of Plattsville. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jeffrey (Tiffany) Gillingham, Andrew (Katelle) Gillingham, Zackary Meyer, Molly Meyer, Aidan Meyer, Lexi Meyer and great grandchildren Myles and Weston Gillingham.  Companion of Larry Engel of Bright.  Survived by her brother Lorne Ray, sisters Colene Hutchison, Randi (Manning) Mugford, Karen (Ray) Hauser.  Dear friend Norma Gale, Sue Beilstein, Dale Buller and Cathy Thompson.  She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will take place at the Edelweiss Tavern,  600 Doon Village Rd., Kitchener on Sunday December 16, 2018 from 2-5 pm.   Donations in memory of Bonnie may be made to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, 835 King St. W., Kitchener, ON.  N2G 1G3.

FENN: Edward G.

FENN: Edward G. – passed away peacefully on Friday December 7, 2018 in his 94th year at Cassellholme, North Bay.

Predeceased by the love of his life Laura Jean (nee Rennick). Father of Dave (Pat), Victoria Harbour, and Donald (Linda), North Bay. Ed is lovingly remembered by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Born in Plattsville Ontario, Ed was the last remaining child of Gillis and Mabel Fenn. Predeceased by sisters Margaret (Allie Everts) and Marion (Jim Rennick) and brothers Graham (Alma) and Jim (Reta).

Ed was a member of the Perth Regiment during WWII and served overseas in Italy, Belgium and Holland as a wireless operator and dispatch rider. He enjoyed working with the Federal Department of Agriculture Inspections Branch, especially his posting to North Bay and wonderful times with mom, family and friends at the family cottage.

Ed will be laid to rest in Chesterfield Cemetery, RR#1 Bright, ON

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
