roseWILEY: Burton J. N.  – passed away on Saturday August 27, 2016 at the Kingman Regional Hospital, Kingman, Arizona.  Burt Wiley formerly of Plattsville in his 83rd year.

Husband of the late Betty (Christensen) Wiley who predeceased him in 1986.  Father of Robert, Joan & Richard. Brother of Reginald.

Interment of cremated remains will take place in the Chesterfield Cemetery, RR# 1 Bright. ON

KAUFMANN: Marie Mina

roseKAUFMANN: Marie Mina – of Tavistock, passed away on Thursday August 25, 2016 at People Care, Tavistock, at the age of 97 years.

She is survived by her brother Lloyd of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Marie was predeceased by her parents William and Alma Kaufman and her step mother Esther (Nichols) Kaufman; also her sister Margaret Delion, niece Carol Delion and by sister-in-law Nila (2016)

Marie was born in South Easthope Township September 27, 1918.  She graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener as a registered nurse.  She has nursed in Montreal with the VON, she also graduated from Western University, London, ON., in public health nursing, she then went to Hamilton and worked as a VON nurse, she then went to Toronto University, took a course in advanced public health nursing in supervision, returning to Hamilton and worked with the VON.  She retired in 1978 but returned as a part time nurse until 1982.  Marie was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sebastopol; she was also a lifetime member of the E.L.W.

Relatives and friends will be received in the “West Room” of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sebastopol-Tavistock on Tuesday August 30, 2016 from 11:00am until 11:45am.  The funeral service will be conducted in the church at 12 noon.  The Rev. Richard P. Brown will officiate.  Interment in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.

As expression of sympathy, donations to Tavistock Community Health Inc., or Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church “Window Project” would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock St., N., Tavistock by calling 1-519-655-2431 or at the church on Tuesday.

LAVELLE: Charles David “Chuck”

roseLAVELLE: Charles David “Chuck” – Peacefully passed away at Woodstock General Hospital on Monday August 22, 2016 at the age of 59 years.

Predeceased by his parents Charlie & Ethel Lavelle of Brampton.  Survived by beloved wife Cheryl Lavelle (nee: Thornton) and son Eric Jackson of Plattsville.  Dear brother of John (Barbara) and Jim (Tracey).  Dearly missed by nieces Stephanie and Cassie.  Also missed by his in-laws Bruce and Marlene Thornton.  At Chuck’s request, cremation has taken place.  Interment at St. James Anglican Church, Haysville and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Donations in memory of Chuck can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St. Plattsville.

CHAMBERS: Robert Edwin “Shotgun”

roseCHAMBERS: Robert Edwin “Shotgun” – passed away suddenly on Friday August 12, 2016 at his residence,  Rob “Shotgun” Chambers of Plattsville in his 64th year.

Rob will be remembered by his girlfriend Michelle, his son Michael, his granddaughter Alexis and his Aunt Mert.   “Shotgun” will be remembered for his beloved “RUBY”

A Memorial Gathering will take place at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St. N., Plattsville, on Friday August 19, 2016 from 7-9 p.m.

McCORMICK: David Arnold

roseMcCORMICK: David Arnold – passed away suddenly on Friday August 5, 2016 at the Stratford General Hospital.  Dave McCormick of New Hamburg in his 65th year.

Beloved husband of the late Nancy (nee Lambert) who predeceased him March 22, 2007.  Dear brother of Margaret & husband Alvin Haskett of Plattsville and Larry & wife Linda of Forest.  Remembered by his mother-in-law Kae Lambert of Woodstock and by the Lambert Family and by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Arnold & Hazel (Anderson) McCormick, by father-in-law Maurice Lambert and by step father Philip Van Eeghen.

Relatives & friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St., Plattsville on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.  Funeral Service will be conducted at the Peace United Church, Plattsville on Tuesday August 16, 2016 at 10:30a.m.   Pastor Barb Dawson officiating.  Interment later in Chesterfield Cemetery.
