George WoolcottWOOLCOTT: George James Gordon – passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday August 30, 2015. George Woolcott of RR#1 Bright (Chesterfield) in his 76th year.

Beloved husband of Christa (nee Goetze) whom he married March 30, 1984. He will be remembered by Christa’s children Royce Siewert & wife Lyn of Kitchener, Natalie Siewert and husband Aaron Hoy of North Vancouver and by her grandchildren Rebecca, Ryan, Rachel, Carly, Ryder, Connor and great grandson Elias. He is survived by his sister Mildred Hall of Kitchener, his sister-in-law Monica Ruppert of Waterloo, brother-in-law Richard Goetze and wife Peggy of London.

Predeceased by his parents James Clifford Woolcott and Carrie Hobson Stauffer, his sister Grace & husband Allan Birkett and by his brother-in-law Douglas Hall.

George was very active in Plattsville Minor Hockey and with the Plattsville Combines Hockey Club. He was a longtime Secretary/Treasurer of the Grand Valley Hockey League where there is an award in his name the “G.J.G. Woolcott Dedication Award” George was avid in his gardening and enjoyed going to antique shows.

Relatives & friends are invited to visit at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St., Plattsville on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be conducted at the Peace United Church, Plattsville on Friday September 4, 2015 at 11:00am. Pastor Barb Dawson officiating. Interment in Chesterfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Peace United Church (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.

Beloved wife of the late James Edward Baker who predeceased her November 9, 2007. Loving mother of Sandra & husband Bill Weiler of Waterloo, Wayne & partner Bill Reimer of Kitchener, Ron & Deb Daly of RR#4 Bright, Lynne Baril & Doug Steinmann of New Hamburg. She will be sadly missed by her 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and by special friend Norm Perriman of Ayr.  Survived by her sisters–in-law Joan McEwen of London, Betty Baker of Woodstock and by her brother-in-law Nester Kozey of Gobles.

Predeceased by her parents LeRoy Stauffer & Evelyne Bourchier, by her sister Bernice & her husband Harry Stanlake.
